PROGRAM OUTREACH COORDINATOR

Role and Responsibilities

As our Program Outreach Coordinator, you will be handling the production of ongoing press releases and social media posts about programs, while scheduling tours of the technology center. In addition to recruiting participants for programs, you will be building and maintaining relationships with local employers and colleges who may wish to offer their employees tech center memberships or recruit talent from our programs. You will need to travel to meetings as needed and will be reimbursed at the current mileage rate for NYS or use a company vehicle as available

Primary Responsibilities

  • calling and emailing schools, colleges, businesses, and organizations
  • setting appointments for tours of the tech center
  • giving tours of the tech center
  • following up with calls and emails and confirming appointments
  • assist members in the registration and orientation process
  • sending thank you, birthday, congratulations, and invitations

In addition, you will

  • keep track of statistical data on who has visited the tech center
  • take photos and candid’s of groups visiting the tech center
  • get and file permission to publish photos from participants & visitors
  • coordinate with the marketing department for social media posts
  • keep the calendar schedule up to date
  • coordinate signs and screens to welcome groups and members
  • set, plan, and achieve target audiences and numbers

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize tasks and projects
  • Has a startup personality that is hands-on, driven, strategic, accountable, ethical, collaborative, hard-working, and productive
  • Comfortable exploring new technology and learning new software

Qualifications

  • Must be over 18 with high school or equivalent.
  • Must pass a background check (we work with people of all ages).
  • Detail oriented, can work without supervision for extended periods
  • Bilingual/Multilingual preferred

Additional Notes

MUST love (be excited about, and gain energy from) meeting and interacting with people
Full training / mentoring provided with time to execute and suggest new solutions
Will work closely with the Director of Operations – Programs
Will coordinate the hiring and directing of the Manager of Strategic Partnerships
Will coordinate event and marketing consultants/contracts as needed
